Okay, I've been working on a server locally for about a week before getting it up on Hosthorde. Works great locally, but won't work on hosthorde. So my first step was to attempt to start a new copy of the server to see where the problem is by process of elimination. So with a fresh copy of the server with just the .jars and the library files and again, it won't start. Now, it is Cauldron and I've followed the various forge hints and tricks. Library files both in the base folder and the jar folder. Still it simply won't work. It won't even get far enough to generate an error log so the only thing I have to go off of is the console's vomit. I am at a loss and can't find any tutorials to fix something that is working on my end but is broke as soon as it touches Hosthorde. You're missing libraries, specifically log4j which is in the vanilla jar. Do you have both jars in the jar folder?
Did you follow Installing Minecraft Forge Server? Make copy of the Cauldron jar and rename as note in link. Also may want download/run fresh copy of Cauldron locally so can pull down add files need.
