You can use the information listed below to help troubleshoot excessive memory usage on your Minecraft server.
When requesting a RAM increase, we may require you to perform these troubleshooting steps to ensure that you are in compliance with our terms of service, as well as to ensure that there are no outstanding issues with your Minecraft server.
Timings Report
- Stop your Minecraft server
- Ensure you're using Spigot, or a Spigot based server build
- Modify "bukkit.yml", and set "plugin-profiling" to true
- Start your Minecraft server, and let it run for at least 5 minutes
- Enter /timings merge
- Enter /timings paste
- Provide a HostHorde staff member with the aikar.co link from step 6
Log Scan
- Ensure your Minecraft server has been running for at least 60 minutes
- Go to http://hosthorde.com/log-scanner/
- Enter the requested information
- Provide a HostHorde staff member with a link to your log scanner results
Memory Usage
- Ensure your server is running a Craftbukkit or Spigot based server build
- Download and install the HostHordeHealth plugin: http://hosthorde.com/downloads/HostHordeHealth.jar
- Once installed, enter the command /hhh in game
- Provide a HostHorde staff member with a screenshot of the output from the command
